Mr. M. Mahmud Ali

On 09/07/2024, he has taken over the charge as the Director of the Urban Development Department.

The Department of Urban Development is a government agency under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Honorable Director Mr. M. Mahmud Ali (Additional Secretary) has been serving as the Director of the Urban Development Department since July 09, 2024.

Mr. M. Mahmud Ali is a member of the BCS (Administration) cadre of the 18th batch and an Additional Secretary (Grade-II) to the Government of Bangladesh.  He took charge of the Urban Development Directorate (UDD) under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works as the Organizational Head (Director) on 09 July 2024. Immediately before joining the UDD, he was serving as a Member (Research and Technology) (Additional Secretary) of the Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization (SPARRSO) under the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
